Perspectives matter!

Design for Meaning was founded in 2017 by Gregor Waltersdorfer, as he recognized the importance of users’ interpretations in product development during his PhD research project.

Interpretations result in diverse perspectives on a product, which are negotiated within society after a product’s market release. Eventually, interpretations converge and thus various groups influence how a product is seen.

It is our mission to support designers and entrepreneurs in anticipating interpretations by various groups to get the intended message across, foster the acceptance of a product, and make the product significant to its users.
